Friday reflections for Fall 2020 began on Sept. 11, 2020. I was inspired to take the lead and give the first reflection.

My reflection links the emptiness 19 years after the attacks with God’s answer to that emptiness with the Virgin Mary. Posting it on the Feast of the Triumph of the Cross reminds us that Jesus is the means and model for emptying and opening ourselves to receive the love and mercy of God.
