My name is Jonas.  The past few years have been a time of transition from the newspaper industry to the seminary.  I’ve blogged sporadically over the years.  But I want to be comfortable blogging and reaching others online.  Blogging has allowed me to share the stories behind photos and videos easier. Jonas’ Essential Matters will cover insights, mishaps and stories I have learned about life, spirituality, science and religion.  The science part has lagged.  I expect that to pick up when the New Horizons space probe makes its closest approach to Pluto on July 14.  My most recent batch of entries have been movie and travel reflections.  Throughout the year, I hope to be more consistent in posting entries.  Maybe you will enjoy a little silliness and few insights in the blog along the way.
