Homily: When salt goes bad …

Note: After much delay (which you can read about that here), I’m posting on Feb. 9, 2025, this Sunday homily when I was as a deacon at the St. Peter Chanel Catholic Church in Hawaiian Gardens, Calif., next to Long Beach.

Centered around Matthew 5:13-16, I gave it once on Sunday, Feb. 5, 2023, probably at the 5 p.m. Mass. Beware of the dangers that destroy our effectiveness as Christians in the world.

When our deeds are beautiful, we are indeed the salt of the world.

God bless.
