Homily for Divine Mercy: A place for each of us

Note: After much delay (which you can read about that here), I’m posting on April 7, 2024, this Sunday homily when I was as a deacon at the St. Peter Chanel Catholic Church in Hawaiian Gardens, Calif., next to Long Beach.

Centered around 1 Peter 1:3-9, I gave it once on April 16, 2023, for Divine Mercy Sunday, probably for the 6 p.m. Vigil Mass. Sometimes, one Confession can move us in a completely different direction.

Lesson: Hold on to the merciful Jesus because the Father has a place in heaven prepared for you.

God bless.
