Homily: We are not alone

Note: After much delay (which you can read about that here), I’m posting on May 6, 2024, this Sunday homily when I was as a deacon at the St. Peter Chanel Catholic Church in Hawaiian Gardens, Calif., next to Long Beach.

Centered around John 14:15-21, I gave it once on Sunday, May 14, 2023, probably for the 6 p.m. Vigil Mass. Jesus wants to fill our aching loneliness, but will we say yes to Him?

Lesson: We are not orphans. We are not alone. Jesus is with us.
