Homily: Leave your hands open

Here is my latest Sunday homily as a deacon. Centered around Luke 14:1, 7-14, I gave it thrice at the Blue Hills Collaborative around Hyde Park in Boston. This recording is from the 10:30 a.m. Mass on Sunday, August 28, 2022, at St. Pius X in Milton, MA.

Keep your hands open to Jesus.

This homily was the last at the collaborative before I headed out to my next assignment.

Listen to the Feb. 20 homily about my father.

Our hands are empty now. But Jesus will fill them so we can give away.

Want to know Jesus? Talk to him.

Leave your hands open. Yes, there is nothing there right now. But Jesus will fill them so that we can give to the next person.

God bless.
