Homily: An enemy can become a friend

Here is my latest Sunday homily as a deacon. Centered around Lk 19:1-10, I gave it once at the St. Peter Chanel Catholic Church in Hawaiian Gardens, Calif., next to Long Beach. This recording is from the 6 p.m. Mass on Saturday, Oct. 29, 2022.

We must climb down our trees of judgment and welcome Jesus in our homes.

With Jesus’ help, an enemy can become a friend.
