We move around a lot; why don't we stop for a minute? My name is Fr. Jonas, an Oblate of the Virgin Mary. For several years, I have journeyed across this country, sometimes on a motorcycle. In 2014, I had left a newspaper career for life at the seminary. In June 2023, I was ordained a priest of the Catholic Church. I had wanted to share my stories behind the usual photos and videos. But I’ve blogged sporadically over the years. I want to be comfortable blogging and reaching others online. I want to help people understand and improve their lives. Live the Essentials will cover insights, mishaps and stories I have learned about Jesus, Mary, spirituality and adventure. In the next few years, I hope to be more consistent in posting entries. Maybe you will enjoy a little silliness and few insights in the blog along the way.
